I love this time of year when I get to see all of my trees budding and plants and flowers starting to pop up. Spring has definitely sprung around here!
What I'm super into every spring are HERBS ! I love to cook and spending money on a tiny package of meh herbs at the grocery store is the worst. They always go bad before you can use them all!
So this year I'm going to grow my own in pots on my back patio (where we get the most sun): basil (yum), parsleys (Italian and curly), cilantro, mint (I'm not a superfan but it does come in handy sometimes), chives, and lavender (it helps keeps those annoying mosquitoes at bay...I'm a magnet for them!).
My local nursery just recommended bringing the pots in or covering them with a sheet if we get any more cold weather.
Can't wait to cook from my garden!
